Privacy policy

Accurate to this site's actual processing: Google Analytics and the embedded YouTube and Spotify players all load only after you consent, and nothing of theirs runs if you decline.

This notice explains what personal data atmosphere.cool collects, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The site runs no advertising and no advertising tracking. It does use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and the homepage embeds a YouTube video and a Spotify player. None of those load, and none of them set a cookie, unless you accept on the cookie banner — see 'Analytics' and 'Embedded media' below.

What we collect, and why

Contact form. Our contact form is hosted by Typeform. When you submit it, the name, email address, message and region you provide are collected to answer your enquiry. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Newsletter. Our newsletter sign-up is hosted by Typeform. We collect the email address you provide to send you the updates you asked for. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw it at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.

Server logs. The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to serve and secure the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a secure service.

No first-party analytics or tracking

We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics tool, and we run no advertising or social-media tracking pixels of our own. We do not build profiles or sell data.

Embedded media

So you can watch and listen without leaving the site, the homepage embeds a YouTube video (provided by Google, via the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain) and a Spotify player. Neither is loaded until you consent: the players are click-to-load, so no request reaches Google or Spotify — and no cookie of theirs is set — until you accept on the cookie banner or press play. Once you do, they receive data such as your IP address and what you watch or listen to, under Google's and Spotify's own privacy and cookie policies. Declining leaves them unloaded.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and whether things are working. It runs only if you accept on the cookie banner: until then Google's consent mode holds analytics storage as denied and the Google Analytics script is never requested, so no cookie is set and no data is sent. If you decline, it stays that way. IP addresses are anonymised, and we do not use Google Analytics for advertising, remarketing or ad personalisation — advertising storage is denied permanently, not just by default. You can change your mind at any time from the cookie policy page. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Who processes your data

We use a small number of processors under GDPR-compliant data processing agreements: Typeform (form collection), Mailchimp (newsletter delivery), Google (Google Analytics, once you consent) and Vercel (hosting). Each processes data only on our instructions. The embedded players load content from Google (YouTube) and Spotify, which act as independent controllers for any data they collect when you play them.

International transfers

Some processors and embedded-content providers (e.g. Typeform, Mailchimp, Vercel, Google, Spotify) may process data outside the EEA. Where they do, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

We keep contact messages for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, then delete them. We keep your newsletter email until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact info@atmosphere.cool.
