shecco is a market accelerator supporting the introduction of climate friendly technologies in the heating, cooling and refrigeration (HVAC&R) industry, with a special focus on natural refrigerants. Our philosophy is to bring these technologies faster to the market to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as soon as possible and thereby “sustaining our atmosphere”.

To handle the overall administration and ensure a smooth running of the office, shecco is looking to recruit an Office Administrator. The post is a full-time position

The Position

Reporting to the shecco CEO, the Office Manager (f/m) will assist the shecco team with the following tasks:

  • Financial support: prepare outgoing invoices, process incoming invoices and payments, update accounting files and credit collections, financial transaction with approval of the CEO, assist the external accountancy firm for any bookkeeping, monthly VAT filings, preparation of the end of the year accounts and new year budgeting, cashflow forecast
  • Administrative support: handle all general administration and maintenance of the office: correspondence, mailings, incoming calls, order office supplies, equipment, updating memberships, etc. Ensure efficient office management including IT, logistics, and facilities.
  • HR support: ensure compliance with BE staff regulations and legislation, recruitment, manage new contracts (Dimona), oversee all payroll functions to ensure that employees are paid in atimely and accurate manner, planning of absences, training
  • Communications: constant dialogue with customers, suppliers, accountant firm and auditors, social secretariat (SDWORX)

  • Trustworthy, analytical, responsible, reliable, energetic, capable of building trust and credibility with team, stakeholders, and customers
  • Able to work in teams, and autonomously
  • Interested in shecco’s mission (promoting environmental technologies)
  • Quick learner, well – organised, detail – minded and able to deliver on time
  • Proactive with a ‘can-do attitude’, high sense of responsibility
  • A person with strong ethical standards, ready to work in an international and multicultural environment


  • Minimum of 5-10 years working experience
  • Knowledge of the Belgian administrations and general HR regulations
  • Knowledge of Belgian GAAP (US GAAP knowledge would be an asset)
  • Fluent English and French (knowledge of any other EU languages is a plus)
  • Knowledge of MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Accountancy Standards and Programmes; previous experience as accountant would be an asset
  • Valid working permit for Belgium


  • Permanent full-time contract of 38h/week
