ATMO LATAM Conference to Address Growing Market for Natural Refrigeration in Latin America

ATMOsphere LATAM conference on natural refrigerants HVACR technologies and market trends

The conference will be held Wednesday, November 8, and Thursday, November 9, 2023, in Mexico City.

BRUSSELS, Belgium (October 13, 2023) – A wide range of manufacturers, end users, contractors and policy makers will address the growing market for natural refrigerant-based refrigeration and cooling systems at theATMOsphere (ATMO) LATAM (Latin America) 2023 conference on natural refrigerant-based HVAC&R.

The conference will be held Wednesday, November 8, and Thursday, November 9, 2023, in Mexico City at the Barceló México Reforma hotel. It will be hosted by ATMOsphere, a global market accelerator for natural refrigerant-based systems.

This is the second ATMO LATAM and the first to be held in person. The first was held online on October 22, 2020, as part of the online ATMO America conference.

Like other ATMO conferences, ATMO LATAM will gather key industry experts, including manufacturers, policy makers, end users and contractors, to learn about the latest developments in natural refrigerant-based refrigeration and air-conditioning, including those using CO2, hydrocarbons and ammonia.

Presentations will be bilingual, translated into either English or Spanish.

The policy session will feature the following speakers:

  • Claudia Paratori Cortés, Ozone Unit Coordinator Climate Change Division (Coordinadora Unidad Ozono División de Cambio Climático), Ministry of the Environment Government of Chile (Ministerio del Medio Ambiente Gobierno de Chile), who will speak on Synergies and Challenges on HCFC and HFC Reduction (Sinergias y desafíos en materia de reducción de HCFC y HFC).
  • Laura Estela BerónOzone Program Office Coordinator (Coordinadora Oficina Programa de Ozono), Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (Argentina), (Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible/Argentina).
  • Leslie Smith, Head of the National Ozone Unit, Ministry of Climate Resilience, the Environment and Renewable Energy (Grenada).

End user speakers will include Moisés VentocillaDirector of Engineering, Emergent Cold LATAM, and Ricardo GarcíaProject Director, Frialsa, while contractor/installer speakers will include David OsmaOperations Engineer, Weston Luel RodriguezDeputy Director LOM Process Control, Pier ZecchettoCEO Pórtan, and Armando Sanabria, Commercial Director Sistemas de Refrigeración Totales
